Current Version: dm–operations–center-v0.5.0-beta.module
Hello and welcome to the initial release of my new DM Operations Center module for the EncounterPlus virtual tabletop. This is a project I have been working on for some time and I am very happy to share it with you.
The idea for this module came from the development and release of my Game Master’s Screen for EncounterPlus. A simple port of my HTML screen for Game Master 5, this earlier module provided quick and easy access to common rules and tables. The GM Screen helped, but I still found myself jumping out of EncounterPlus on a regular basis. I often found myself switching screens to use random generators on web sites like donjon or kassoon.
What is the DM Operations Center?
The DM Operations Center is an EncounterPlus module that helps 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons DMs manage their game without having to leave the EncounterPlus VTT. While this release is missing a number of key features, the core module is ready for use.
DM Operations Center Home Items, spells, and monsters link to the internal compendium for SRD or D&D Beyond imported content. Links connect to related pages to ensure the user gets all of the context help they need. Rules are presented in a condensed format when possible to make it quick & easy to read. Treasure generator for individual & hoards by tier. (Thanks to Leoincendia for the code.) Simple NPC name generator for a wide range of races & cultures.
See it in action.
Getting the Module
The easiest way to get started with the DM Operations Center is to download the pre-built module from GitHub at https://github.com/MrFarland/DM-Operations-Center/releases. Simply download the module to your device and import it into EncounterPlus. If you’re not sure how to do that, I created a quick, 30 second video to show you how.
Rolling your own.
For those of you with experience working with the EncounterPlus Module Packer, you will be happy to learn that all of my source files are available in GitHub at https://github.com/MrFarland/DM-Operations-Center. Feel free to create your own personal fork of the module and modify it to suit your needs.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, but would like to learn. I strongly suggest checking out the Module Packer at the link above and join the EncounterPlus Discord at (https://discord.gg/rc8Bez8).
